Yoga & Spiritual Yatra
Walk the Eternal Boundary of Lord Shiva's City
Overview
A journey tracing a sacred 25–30 km path around Varanasi encompassing 108 shrines that form the spiritual boundary of Kashi.
Believed to have been sanctified by Lord Shiva himself, this pilgrimage is said to purify lifetimes of karma and grant spiritual liberation.
The yatra covers five primary Krosh temples: Kardameshwar Mahadev, Bhimchandi Devi, Rameshwar Mahadev, Shivpur Mahadev, and Kapildhara Mahadev.
Pilgrims perform rituals, receive prasad, and experience guided spiritual walks through rural and sacred landscapes.
The journey concludes with closing rituals at Manikarnika Ghat or Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, symbolizing the meeting of life, death, and liberation.
Highlights
The day, hour by hour
The official starting point in Kandwa Village. Believed established by Rishi Kardam. Pilgrims take a symbolic dip in the temple pond and offer their first deep daan (lamp offering). Sankalp Ceremony to invoke blessings.
A revered Shaktipeeth near Cholapur Road. Bhimchandi Mata is worshipped as guardian of this path. Prasad distribution, water breaks, and Durga chanting or bhajans in a rural setting.
Located in Rameshwar Village with same sanctity as Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu. Pilgrims perform Jal Abhishek and recite Rudra Chamakam verses. Silent walking recommended for internal reflection.
A peaceful, less-crowded temple in Northern Varanasi symbolizing the inward journey of the soul. Surrounded by farmland and groves offering time to rest and reflect.
Final Krosh stop in Kapildhara Village before re-entering the city. Associated with Sage Kapil representing penance, knowledge, and moksha. Pilgrims light their last deepak and express gratitude.
Return to Manikarnika Ghat for closing rituals or continue into Kashi Vishwanath Corridor for final darshan, completing the sacred circle.
