Overview
What we offer.
Pind Daan is a revered Hindu ritual performed for the peace and liberation of departed ancestors. According to ancient belief, Kashi is one of the holiest places to perform it — offering pind here helps the departed attain moksha.
The ritual takes place on the ghats of the Ganga — at Harishchandra Ghat or Manikarnika Ghat — and involves prayers, mantras and offerings made under the guidance of a learned brahmin priest.
Many devotees choose specific days like Pitru Paksha or Amavasya for this act of remembrance. The atmosphere of Kashi — chants, bells and the flowing Ganges — adds to the sanctity and emotional depth of the experience. Performed correctly, it brings peace to ancestors and blessings to the family.
