About Omvity
We were born of this city.
Omvity is a Varanasi-born travel house. We don't resell trips; we run them. Every journey is built and led from our office in Godowlia, two minutes from Dashashwamedh ghat.
Our story
A small house, with a long view of the river.
Omvity began with a simple frustration. International friends kept landing in Varanasi and getting handed off to coach-tour operators that treated the city like a checklist — Aarti, boat, temple, done.
We knew the city differently. We knew the priests at half the temples on the route. We knew the boatmen by name. We knew which kachori shop had been open at sunrise since 1934 and which alley would smell of attar in November.
So we started taking guests out ourselves. One trip became ten, ten became a thousand. Today Omvity is a small team of guides, priests, drivers and storytellers — all from Varanasi — handling both half-day walks and multi-week pilgrimages across India and Nepal.
We're still small on purpose. It's the only way we know to keep every trip private and personal.
